  1. Look at the table top and picture how you would like it to look. You may want to draw a design to use mosaic tiles, or you may want to use square tiles. Think about the color or colors you would like and whether you want small or larger tiles.

  2. Buy tiles in the style and colors you have decided on.

  3. Draw your design on the table top if you are planning to use small mosaics to create a picture. You can also just place them freehand in no particular pattern, if that is the look you want to achieve, or you can use straight lines of larger tiles to cover the table.

  4. Apply adhesive to the table top. For a large table, work in smaller 1 foot areas. If you are using square tiles, begin in the middle of the table.

  5. Place tiles on the table in a design that is pleasing to you. Press the tiles into the adhesive. Let the adhesive try.

  6. Apply grout to the table. After 15 minutes wipe excess grout off of the table. Let the grout dry.

  7. Clean the grout film from the table.

  8. Apply two or three coats of sealer to the table. This will the table free from stains and make cleanup easier for you. Let one coat dry before applying the next.
