How to Make a YouTube Video
By posting a video on YouTube, you can receive constructive criticism and suggestions that will help improve your videophotography skills. Youtube is the perfect platform for making a video because it is user friendly and the high traffic from the site will give you the exposure you desire.
- Go to YouTube's website and login. If you do not have a login for Youtube, use the Create Account button to register. You will need an accessible email account to sign up; a validation email will be sent before you can access the site through your new account.
- Read and understand the Terms of Service (TOS). You should understand what you can and cannot post on Youtube before making your video. YouTube administrators will delete videos that violate their TOS. Accept the terms to continue using the site under your new account.
- Click the Upload button at the top of the menu bar on Youtube's web page. You will have two options: "Record from webcam" and "Upload video". If you have not previously recorded the video you want to post on YouTube, use the "Record from webcam" option. If you need to edit your video before posting it on Youtube, you should use video software to edit and save your video. Then you can use the "Upload video" option to send the video to YouTube for posting.
- Submit the video when you are satisfied with how it turned out. YouTube will post the video in your account under your channel. Users will be able to find your videos when they submit a search on YouTube. You should customize your YouTube channel and fill out information section about yourself to gain subscribers. Anybody can subscribe to your videos through your channel, but you will gain more fans if your channel is organized.
