How to Mix Frozen Coffee Drinks
If you love frozen coffee drinks from your favorite specialty coffee shop, yet do not love the hefty price tag that they often charge for them, you should start making your own frozen coffee drinks at home. Making your own frozen coffee drinks is quick and easy, and will save you a lot of money over expensive coffee shops.
- Brew an extra strong pot of your favorite variety of coffee up to the six cup line on your coffee pot. You can make regular or flavored coffee whichever you prefer. Add twice as much coffee as you would normally add so that it is much stronger than usual.
- Pour one cup of sugar into your coffee and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Place the mixture into a heat safe container and allow it to chill in the refrigerator for about an hour or until it is cooled.
- Add two teaspoons of vanilla and two cups of milk into your cooled coffee.
- Pour four cups of crushed ice into your blender.
- Pour coffee mixture over your crushed ice in your blender and then place the lid on top of your blender.
- Blend your frozen coffee mix in your blender on high speed until it is thoroughly blended. If it is having trouble with the ice, stop the blender and turn off the power before stirring the mixture around.
- Turn the blender back on and allow the mixture to finish blending.
- Pour your frozen coffee drinks into the cups of your choice.
- Garnish your frozen coffee drinks with whipped cream topped with shaved chocolate, and then top with a drizzle of chocolate syrup. You will feel like you visited the coffee shop for a fraction of the price.
