How to Obtain Free Computer Repair Software
To obtain free computer software, you need only look in a few places. There are many freeware sites, as well as beta programs, that companies want downloaded and tested. If you do not have a strong knowledge of computers, ask friends, check reviews and investigate the programs before downloading. You can easily acquire good programs from trusted sources.
Finding free computer programs online is easy. You have a few options when doing so.
- Your email offers more: Many email accounts today offer you online storage of documents and web-based use of word processing and spreadsheet programs. Check email sites like MSN, Google (Gmail) and Yahoo. All offer a way to have the benefits of the office tools, without the hefty price tag.
- CNet: This company offers many great programs for download, along with user reviews. One example is the VLC media player for playing movies. It is a wonderful program and costs nothing.
- Microsoft: The great thing about this company is that not only will it give you a 90-day free trial of home office, but you can also get a free virus protection that works better than the expensive ones. Look for the Microsoft Security Essentials.
Two other great programs that are free are Advanced System Care and Avast. Both offer free versions and both perform well. Avast, however, does not perform quite as well as the Security Essentials.
These are only a few of the great companies that offer high-quality downloads or computer repair programs free of charge. If you want honest reviews, visit the tech forums on many computer websites. People are very willing to be honest about how computer programs perform.
