Small appliances include blenders, toasters, food processors, pressure cookers, mixers, can openers and slow cookers will obviously not all fit on your counter and even if they do fit, it will make your countertop look cluttered.

  1. Go through your appliances and throw away the ones that are not working and donate the items that are working but that you never use to charity.

  2. Take the cords from the appliances and wrapped them using twist ties. This will make the appliance area look a bit neater and more organized.

  3. Create a space that is just designated for small appliances.  There are several ways to do this.

  4. You can put small appliances in lower cabinets if you don't want them on the counter. Reserve the higher cabinets for plates, bowls, etc. because these are utilized more than the appliances.

  5. Arrange kitchen appliances in cupboards according to how often they are utilized. For example, appliances such as waffle makers and sandwich presses are not utilize that much so those can go in the back of the cabinet.

  6. Place smaller kitchen appliances in the pantry area, if you have one. For those pantries, utilize the lower and upper shelves for the appliances. If you have a walk-in pantry, you may dedicate an entire wall to store the smaller appliances.

  7. Use the space between the upper cupboards and the ceiling.  Many times, this space is not used. Place the more attractive appliances up there because these are the ones that will be in view.
