How to Organize Your Life
Sometimes you feel out of control of your life. While you can't actually control the actions of others or unforeseeable natural disasters, you can control your own behavior. Take some time to think, purge, and prioritize, and then you can take action and feel organized about your life.
Start by making a list of things that stress you out. Perhaps you don't exercise or eat healthy enough, and you lack energy. Maybe you feel that you never have time to do the things you really enjoy, such as working on your hobbies, or visiting with friends and family. You might possibly feel as if your house is never clean and there is always something left to do. You have to release some of this worry before you can stat getting organized.
With your list in hand, set aside a day, or better yet, a week, to get your life feeling more organized. Go through all of your clothing, kitchen supplies, and the contents of your garage - basically all that baggage that you carry around symbolically. Make a pile of items you haven't used in months and never plan to use again. Donate them to charity.
Re-organize the items that you've chosen to keep. Purchase storage vessels such as bookcases, cabinets, shelves or whatever else that will contain your belongings. Place everything neatly in place. An organized home is a great start to help you feel more organized in life.
Another way to stay organized is to use a planner or calender to schedule out hobbies and time to spend with your family. If you make an appointment, you are less likely to put these activities off because you are too busy with work or other chores. You will start to feel more in control of your own life, and therefore, the actions of others won't stress you out nearly as much. Always take time for yourself.
