The front doors on mobile homes are typically smaller than the doors on a standard home. Mobile home front doors are usually made of metal or vinyl. Many people paint the front doors of mobile homes to make the home feel more inviting to their guests.
How to Paint Mobile Home Front Doors
Use a screwdriver to remove the door from its hinges.
Remove the doorknobs and all of the hardware from the door.
Lay the door on a piece of painter's plastic.
Use 150-grit sandpaper to sand the entire door. Use a soft cloth to clean off the sand dust.
Use an aerosol primer paint to prime the door. Allow time for the primer to dry completely.
If the door feels rough to the touch, sand the primed spots until they feel smooth.
If the door contains a glass window, mask it off with masking tape.
Stand the door in an upright position.
Use a paintbrush to paint the hinges and doorknob ends. A small roller can be used to remove any brush marks.
Use a mini roller to paint the front of the door. The door should be painted from top to bottom. Allow the paint to completely dry before turning the door around to paint the other side.
