How to Pass Online Licensed Practical Nursing Classes
To work in the nursing field you will need to fulfill certain academic and state credentials first. Licensed practical nurses (LPN) must complete an LPN program, usually lasting from nine to 18 months. LPN classes can be taken at a community college, online or in a hospital.
- Gather all necessary materials needed to apply to an LPN program.
Most programs require a high school diploma, list of work
experience, personal statement and possibly references. - Purchase all materials needed for the program. There will be books
and possible medical equipment that you will need to buy before the
program starts. Make sure that have access to a computer and a fast
Internet connection. - Complete all assignments assigned in a timely fashion. Most online
teachers will let you submit your work through email. Make sure that
your email allows attachments and can send them as well. You may
also need a dedicated email address just for schoolwork. If a
teacher requires this, set up the account early enough in advance
that you can verify that it works well. - Form study groups and find study guides. Look for study groups that
may be forming in your area. Although you are taking online classes,
you should be able to read forums and discussion boards about study
groups. If meeting in person is too difficult, you can form an
online study group using chat rooms and discussion boards. There
also may be study guides you can purchase at university bookstore
or online. - Get a tutor. If you are having difficult grasping the material
presented in class, speak to a practicing LPN or student farther
along in coursework. Ask for help in understanding the areas that
you are having difficulties with.
