How to Pick Out Clothes for Older Women
There is a saying: "It's not always about how you look, it's about how you feel." The same can be said about choosing clothing styles suitable for older women. When it comes to looking hot, older women should in no way be excluded. There is enough fashion sense to go around.
- Say goodbye to wearing nothing but tight t-shirts over top of leggings. Unless she has had a nice breast lift, a tight tee shirt will point out sagging breasts. The same goes for wearing leggings. Sagging skin will be too easy to notice. A nice pair of straight leg slacks and a comfortable standard size t-shirt will keep the fire in the fox.
- Choose cotton products. Cotton is easy to take care of and it won't irritate her skin. A nice cotton sundress that has short sleeves is a winner. Think mild to darker colors. The right cotton outfit will help an older person look fresh and young, but not over-the-top silly-desperate, trying to be younger than what her age is.
- Select the right colors. If you love the color red, don't drop it altogether. Go for a more subdued version of the color. The same with the color blue or any other color. Avoid neon brights.
- Grab a pair of Spanx - today's version of yesterday's girdle. Even if you aren't a big person, this will help you to look smooth in everything that you wear.
- Go for the basics: a classic white button down; a pair of black, good quality shoes; a dark blazer; a pair of black/dark blue pants; a quality trench coat for all weather; and a good dark heavy coat for the winter.
