How to Play Cartoon Animation GIF Files
Animated GIF files are very popular in emails and on Internet forums. If you have seen an animated GIF file that you would like to have and cannot download it, it is extremely easy to open the file, play it and download it using Internet Explorer.
Opening an Animated GIF in Internet Explorer:
- Start up Internet Explorer.
- Go to the animated GIF file. Click on the left mouse button, hold down the mouse button and drag the file that you would like to download over to the Internet Explorer window.
- Let go of the left mouse button to drop the file wherever you would like to in the main area of the Internet Explorer window. The animated file that you just dropped should start playing as soon as it is dropped.
Making Internet Explorer the Default GIF Viewer:
- Using the mouse, right click on the animated GID file. Locate the words "open with" and click on them. Select where it says "choose default program."
- Click on the words "Internet Explorer." Click on the box that is labeled "always use the selected program to open this kind of file." After you have made a check in this box, click "okay."
- Double click on the animated GIF file. It is going to open in Internet Explorer immediately. This change is going to make Internet Explorer to be the default program to look at GIF files that are not animated, which can be easily changed. Doing this will also share the GIF file extension.
