How to Play Casino Blackjack
Casino black jack is one of the most popular table games played in casinos. Also known as “21,” the popularity of the game has its roots in its simplicity. The game is played quickly and the player has all the decisions once the cards are dealt. Casino black jack is not the same as the game that most players play in a non casino setting.
The object of casino black jack is to get a higher score than the dealer without going over a total of 21. The dealer will give each player 2 cards, including himself. The cards are dealt clockwise and one at a time. The player can receive as many cards as he wants after the initial 2 cards. The dealer will show the players the second card that is dealt to him.
Many black jack players feel that the way to win is to get as close to 21 as possible. However, experienced casino black jack players use the information of the dealers second card and other cards that they have seen on the board from other players. The experienced player knows a winning hand only has to beat the dealers total.
Casino black jack has certain rules that the dealer must adhere to. The dealer by rule has to take a card with a hand total of 16 or under. With a total of 17 through 21, the dealer has to stay. With the knowledge of knowing one card and the dealer's total guidelines, the player decides if he wants more cards or to stay with what was dealt to him.
Unlike other table games such as poker, the initial player wager remains the same throughout the game, except when a player has been dealt a pair or the two card total is 10 or 11. In the case of a 10 or 11 total being dealt, the player can choose to double the wager on the next card dealt to him. In this case, the player can only take one card and must stand on that total. When a pair is dealt, the player can split the cards, creating extra hands. The dealer deals to the extra hands and the player wagers the same on each hand as was bet on the original hand.
As with all casino gambling, the player should enjoy the atmosphere and be mindful of their finances. The casino experience should be a fun time and the player should not gamble more than can be afforded.
