How to Prepare a Healthy Diet Food Plan
Regardless if you want to lose weight or just improve your overall health, creating a healthy eating plan is your first step in the right direction. Your body needs a good mix of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and grains. In addition, you need to include good fats, such as those found in almonds or avocados.
- Keep in mind that the food your
body needs is not going to be exactly the same as someone else's.
Therefore, your design of a healthy food plan needs to be based on
your weight, age, and how physically active you are. If you are very
active, you will need more calories in your diet than someone that
is more sedentary. In addition, your metabolism is not the same your
friend's, which means if you are trying to lose weight, you may lose
it faster or slower than someone else. - Don't change your diet too
quickly. If you are accustomed to eating processed foods and the
next day you eat fresh fruits and vegetables along with other
healthy choices, you can be sure your body will react negatively.
Therefore, make your food plan as you want your daily diet to
consist of, but make the changes slowly over the course of two
weeks. This allows your body to adjust slowly to the changes and
adapt without getting an upset stomach. - Don't skip breakfast. Your mother
told you that it was the most important meal of the day and she was
right. If you do not eat breakfast, you are more likely to overeat
at lunch or dinner. Your breakfast needs to be a good mix of protein
and a complex carbohydrate. Take out the simple carbohydrates
because these cause a quick spike in blood sugar and then a fast
drop.
