How to Preserve Leather Truck Seats

Leather seats are considered to be a luxury item for a truck. The seats are far more expensive than the fabric seats. It is not uncommon for leather seats to become worn over time. There are steps that can be taken to preserve leather truck seats, which is highly recommended.

How to Preserve Leather Truck Seats

  1. Use a sun blocker on the windshield to prevent sunlight from entering the truck when it is parked.

  2. Use material made of cotton to clean leather seats. Any other type of material may scratch the seats.

  3. Treat the seats with a leather condition. Armorall is a great condition to use on the seats. The conditioner can be purchased at any automotive parts store such as Pepboys and O'Reilly Auto Parts.

  4. Leave the windows in the truck cracked during the summer months. This will prevent the heat build-up in the truck. Extreme temperature can crack or fade leather seats.
