How to Price a Commercial Cleaning

When deciding how to price a commercial cleaning job, you'll first need to consider several factors. Factors such as the amount of work performed and size of the job should all be considered.  With all these factors combined, you'll then be able to formulate a price list that is fair, competitive and profitable.

  1. Before you begin pricing any commercial cleaning services, perform the work yourself. Consider cleaning your home or office to get a clear idea of both the supplies and labor that are involved in the commercial cleaning process. Pay special attention to how long the job takes and the cost of the equipment and supplies.

  2. When the potential client asks you to price your commercial cleaning services, request a tour of the facility. Find out the specific services the client would like performed, the current condition of the facility, how often the client would like the services performed and the square footage of the facility.

  3. Utilize the Internet to find out the average for the services you plan to perform for the client from other competing commercial cleaning companies. Use these figures as a guideline or starting point for your price list. You'll want to price your commercial cleaning services at a level where you'll be most competitive but also able to turn a profit.

  4. Gather all the above information and begin formulating your price list for your commercial cleaning services. Within your pricing list give a clear description of each service you plan to perform along with a itemized pricing list.
