How to Print a Shipping Label at Home for Free
There are at least three ways to print shipping labels from home for free. However, note that to do this you need to have a scale to weigh the packages because you must enter the weight. The cost of shipping is dependent upon the weight, unless you use Priority mailing boxes. There is a 70-pound limit to those. All methods require an account.
USPS.com
- Sign up for a free USPS account at https://reg.usps.com/register?app=GSS&appURL=.
- Go to https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/landing.do and sign in.
- Choose Domestic or International shipping.
- Enter the recipient's address, how you want the package shipped - choosing Priority Mail with the shipping box size will automatically eliminate entering the shipping weight - and add the shipping weight and dimensions of the package.
- Print the label when prompted.
- Verify that the information on it is correct.
PayPal
- Make sure your pop-up blocker is off and log into PayPal.
- Click on "Multi-order Shipping" under "My account tools."
- Don't "X out" of the "Getting Started" window.
- Click on "Create" button at the bottom left of the "Getting Started" window.
- Click on "Ship To Address" header in the next window and enter the recipient's address line by line.
- Confirm that your address information in the next header is correct.
- Click the "Save And Close" button.
- Click on the bar that contains the name and address you just entered in the "MultiOrder Shipping" interface.
- Click on "Print" in the upper right area to print the label.
Endicia.com
Endicia.com is not free, but they do offer a free 30-day trial to become a member. After you become a member, printing labels is free and you just pay for membership. Simply use their intuitive interface to enter the shipping information as per the aforementioned methods, which are fairly universal.
