How to Remove Car Wheel Covers
If you car is starting to look outdated and you are looking for a way to enhance the appearance of the exterior of the vehicle you should consider replacing the wheel covers. The covers are available in a wide variety of styles and can be purchased at most automotive parts stores.
Replacing the wheel covers on your car is something you can easily do in a matter of minutes by following a few simple steps. The only tool you will need to complete the job is a flat-head screwdriver.
- Park your car on a level surface.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the cover by inserting the head of the screwdriver under the wheel cover. Push it in enough to loosen the cover.
- Push the handle of the screwdriver downward. Do not push it down too hard because you do not want to rip off the plastic clips that are holding the wheel cover in place just in case you want to use the covers again.
- Remove the screwdriver from under the wheel cover and move it over a couple of inches and insert it again.
- Push down on the handle to push this section of the wheel cover forward.
- Continue to repeat steps two through five until you have went around the entire wheel cover. The cover is now loose enough to be safely removed without being damaged.
- Use your hands to pull off the wheel cover.
- Repeat the steps to remove the remaining three of the wheel covers on the car.
