How to Remove Perspiration Stains

Perspiration stains on clothing are unattractive and embarrassing. Although you will undoubtedly want to avoid getting these stains in the first place, it isn't always possible to avoid them, particularly in hot weather or during times of stress. Once your clothing has been stained you'll want to take the correct steps to remove it completely.

Lemon Juice

  1. Squeeze the juice from a lemon into a bowl.

  2. Pour an equal amount of water into the lemon juice.

  3. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the diluted lemon juice and then use it to scrub the stain. Make sure you thoroughly saturate the area.

  4. Place the clothing in your washing machine and wash it the same way that you normally would.

Aspirin

  1. Put a half-cup of water into a glass.

  2. Add two aspirin and leave it to dissolve.

  3. Pour the aspirin water over the perspiration stain and leave it to soak for several hours.

  4. Add a few drops of liquid detergent directly on the stain and rub it thoroughly between your fingers.

  5. Put the item in your washing machine and launder it as you would under normal circumstances.

Baking Soda

  1. Mix four tablespoons of baking soda with a quarter cup of warm water to make a paste.

  2. Apply the paste directly to the stain and rub it into the fabric with your fingers or an unused toothbrush.

  3. Launder the item as you would under normal circumstances.
