How to Remove Shampoo Residue
Washing your hair with commercial shampoos can leave a residue that coats your hair shaft. That residue can cause your hair to have a dull, heavy and lifeless appearance. A mixture of apple cider vinegar and water quickly removes the shampoo residue and is simple to do.
- Wash your hair with your regular shampoo for your hair type. Rinse the shampoo completely from your hair using warm water.
- In a tint or spray bottle, mix together one part apple cider vinegar in two parts warm water. Pour it over your hair so that every strand is saturated.
- Allow the vinegar and water mix to sit on your hair for around 15 minutes. Turn your water to a cool temperature and then rinse it out of your hair completely.
- Condition your hair with your regular conditioner if you choose to, otherwise apple cider vinegar is a natural conditioner as well.
