How to Remove Stains From Kids Clothes
Children know how to have fun through play, and tend to get spills and stains when having a good time. Some stains are tougher than others to get out, but rarely is it impossible to remove a stain. Different cleaning agents work better when it comes to stains. Be sure that you treat the stain before it dries, or it might set in.
Directions:
- Remove as much of the offending debris on the clothing as possible. Avoid rubbing the culprit, or it may push it further into the material and ruin the clothes forever. Use a small brush when removing the spot, and remember to be gentle, using light, swift strokes.
- Treat the stain with a recommended agent.
Grease stain: Put some baking soda onto the area and let it work during the nighttime hours. After a few hours you can remove the baking soda and put a small dab of liquid dishwashing soap that is bleach-free onto the clothing. Scrub the area lightly and then let it sit for approximately 20 minutes. Launder in hot water.
Grass stain: Apply a vinegar/water mix onto the clothing with a clean cloth. Gently rub the cleanser in and allow it to soak the material for approximately 20 minutes. After that, launder as usual.
Ink stain: Create a mixture of rubbing alcohol and vinegar. Let your clothing soak for approximately 15 minutes in the solution. If the water becomes discolored, you will need to follow these steps again after changing the solution. When it is done soaking, you can put the item under running water that is very hot.
