How to Remove a Vertical Sliding Window for Cleaning
Vertical sliding windows are designed for easy cleaning. Instead of cleaning the window while it is in the frame, you will literally pull these windows out. Once they are removed you could clean them in your kitchen sink and rinse them completely. Cleaning them is the easy part; removing them is a little more difficult
How to Remove a Vertical Sliding Window for Cleaning:
Step 1: Loosen the screws found on the top of the window's side rails. These screws are a security method used to prevent a break-in.
Step 2: Pry the piece of rubber in the center of the window track out. You can use a standard flathead screwdriver.
Step 3: Unlock your window.
Step 4: Slide your window almost all the way out. Grab it on both sides of the window. Lift the window upward, while pushing the entire panel into the track.
Step 5: Swing the window panel out and over the bottom track. Pull the window panel down and remove it.
