How to Remove the Rear Wiper on a Suzuki SX4
The Suzuki SX4 has two sets of wipers: two in the front of the vehicle and a single wiper that cleans off the back window. Like the front wipers, the rear wiper can get worn over time and need replacing. This is done easily in a few simple steps.
Directions:
- Run your rear windshield wiper to position where you need it in the window to work on it more easily. It should be positioned in the center of the vehicle's rear window. This allows more space to work on its removal and replacement.
- Pull up the arm for the wiper (the moving part that connects to the blade and moves the wiper from side to side) so that it is positioned away from the window.
- Locate the wiper blade's release switch. It will be located in the middle of the windshielf wiper blade. You will find the switch in the area where the wiper fastens to the hook of the wiper arm. When you locate it, push on the small switch (or, in some cases, the small lever). This will loosen the wiper arm's hold on the actual wiper blade.
- Move the wiper blade out of its position on the hook, still holding it in place. This should be done easily at this point because it has been loosened from the hook. With the resistance connecting it gone, the wiper blade should slide off easily from the arm at this point. You are now ready to install a new blade.
