How to Rent Blockbuster Movies Online
While many Blockbuster Video stores have closed, you can still rent movies from Blockbuster on the Internet. Offering both rent-by-mail and streaming video options, Blockbuster makes renting movies online a simple process. Depending on your devices and your membership plan, Blockbuster may be available on your portable electronics as well.
Things you will need:
- Blockbuster.com membership
- Blockbuster On Demand membership
- Valid credit card or PayPal account for payment
- Valid mailing address for rent-by-mail options
- An available internet connection
- Blockbuster MovieLink Player for PCs
- Blockbuster On Demand App for mobile devices
For rent-by-mail services:
- Power on your computer.
- Launch your preferred web browser.
- Type “http://www.blockbuster.com/” into the address bar.
- Press “Enter.”
- Sign in with your Blockbuster account by clicking the “Sign In” button on the upper left corner of the page.
- Type your e-mail address into the “E-Mail” field.
- Type your password into the “Password” field.
- Click “Sign In.”
- Search for a movie title, actor or actress, or genre in the Search field.
- Click “Add to Queue” for any title you want to rent. The title will be added to your queue and shipped to your home when it is available.
For On Demand services:
- Power on your computer.
- Launch your preferred web browser.
- Type “http://www.blockbuster.com/download/devices” into the address bar.
- Press “Enter.”
- Choose your device type or manufacturer from the list on the left of the screen.
- Click the “Activate” button for your device.
- Follow activation instructions to enable On Demand service for your device.
- Launch the Blockbuster MovieLink Program for PCs or the Blockbuster On Demand app for your mobile device.
- Search for a movie title, actor or actress, or movie genre using the Search field.
- Click a movie to load its information page and any options available such as rental or purchase.
- Click the button for the service desired.
