How to Report a Bad Doctor
Some people do not go to the doctor for fear of being misdiagnosed. Although it does happen on occasion, it is not something that should discourage you from going to the doctor when you're sick. There are ways you can report a bad doctor if you feel they have done something wrong.
How to Report a Bad Doctor
Call to speak with your doctor to voice your concerns. Try to avoid taking further steps by approaching the matter as calmly as possible. Ranting and raving will often cause the doctor to go into protection mode and may try to cover up any discrepancies. He may or may not be honest with you.
Request a copy of the physician's chart notes from your doctor's office. These notes will be necessary if you decide to take the claim any further.
File a complaint against the doctor through your state's Medical Board, which can be done online. Fill out the form as accurately as possible. Make sure you include the date of the alleged incident, the doctor's full name and address, the exact nature of your complaint and any other information that you feel is pertinent to your case.
