How to See Ended eBay Auctions

Whether you are a buyer or seller on eBay, it is always best to check and see what similar items are going for on eBay. A great way to do this is to check ended auctions to determine what the market is for a specific item. This can help both buyers and sellers determine what an item is going for.

  1. You will first need to have an account with eBay in order to see items that have ended. If you do not have an account yet, you need to sign up with the sign up link located on the sign in page of eBay.

  2. Follow the onscreen instructions for creating an account, and enter all of the required personal information that is requested.

  3. Type in the name of the item that you are searching for into the search bar. Be as specific as possible. There are thousands of listings on eBay on at any given time, and being specific will help you to find the search results that you are looking for.

  4. Click on the preferences tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

  5. You will see different options, click on the option that says "Show Only Completed Listings."

  6. Once you have changed your settings, click on the "Show Listings" tab on the left-hand side of the screen in the side bar.

  7. Browse through the listing that comes up, all listings that are showing up are now for completed auctions.

  8. Locate the item that you are trying to find. If you are having trouble you can narrow down your search terms further to help make your search produce more relevant results.  Try using specific model numbers or brand names in order to find the item that you are researching.
