- Watch videos and documentaries. There have been several videos and documentaries made about the Kabuki theater. Watching the videos can give you a good idea of what to expect at a Kabuki performance.
- Check out local museums. Many museums may do a Japanese exhibit once a year. During these exhibits they may have pictures of Kabuki theater along with video showing a traditional Kabuki performance.
