How to Sell Your Video Game
When you are a gamer sometimes you buy games you either don't like, you beat, or you're just simply burnt out on. When this happens you can sell your video game in order to have money to buy a new game or some extra pocket cash. There are several ways to sell your video games, some will be more profitable then others.
- Ask a friend if they want to buy the game from you. This is a simple way of getting quick cash. If it's a game you enjoyed, but have beaten or been burnt out on, convincing one of your other gamer friends to either buy the game from you or trade it for a different one should be rather easy.
- Have a yard sell. If you have other things you need to get rid of for some extra cash, then having a yard sell may be the answer. Video games usually sell pretty fast at yard sells assuming you have it priced right. You can also price it higher then you normally would to leave room for negotiation.
- Go to a pawn shop. Pawn shops will normally take used games providing they don't have any scratches on them. The idea of a pawn shop is a loan against your items and you can purchase the item back. However, most pawn shops will allow you to sell the item to them. Some pawn shops will allow you to negotiate price too, but normally for things such as video games their prices are set. A Pawn shop is most likely going to give you much less then the game is worth so they can make a profit when they resell it.
- Sell your game online. Sites like Amazon or eBay allow you to sell your used or new video games to their millions of visitors. This is the best way to get what your game is actually worth. If it's not a very good selling game, you may want to try Amazon or at least start the bid on eBay at a higher price point.
