How to Send Items by DHL

DHL is a shipping and delivery service similar to the United States Postal Service and Federal Express. It is a popular choice among many people because they offer their services worldwide at a fraction of the cost of other providers of the same service.

Some people choose to use DHL to deliver their items because the company is so easy to work with. There are several convenient locations where you can take your packages to be shipped.

  1. Locate the nearest DHL location in your area. This can be done by looking in the telephone book or searching online through the company's website. Once you access the website look in the top left corner of the screen and you will see the word "express." Click on "express" and a menu of options will drop down. Click on "shipping", which will be at the top of the menu. In the middle of the screen you will see a box labeled "Find a Service Point Location." Enter the country you are in and then type in your city or zip code into the empty box. Press "enter" and all the locations in your area will populate on your screen.

  2. Take your package to the location you have chosen.

  3. Select the box to put your items in for shipment.

  4. Take your box to the clerk working behind the desk and let him or her know where the package will be going. The clerk will enter your information in their computer system.

  5. Pay the fee for the delivery and the clerk will print you out a receipt, which will have a confirmation and tracking number for your package.
