How to Send a Fax From Email

With technological advances, the sky is the limit. You no longer need to own a fax machine to have the ability to send a fax. You can use a standard email account to send a fax to someone using an email fax service. These services allow you to send a fax to anyone by sending an email to the designated email address that they provide you with.

1. Perform an Internet search using the keywords "email fax service" or "fax using email." This search should provide you with a variety of different links for websites that provide email fax services.


2. Browse through the search results to determine which email fax service you would like to subscribe to. Make note of the rates and subscription details of each service to help you make an informed decision.


3. Choose the email fax service that you would like to subscribe to. Enter in all of the required information such as name, address, email address and billing information such as credit card details.


4. Check for an email from the service that you have subscribed to. You should receive a welcome email that will provide you with all of the details of the service as well as an email address you will need to use in order to send a fax using the email service.


5. Save the email address you are provided with so that you can easily access it when you need to send a fax.


6. Click on "Compose New Message."


7. Enter the email address you have been provided with into the spot where the recipient's email goes.


8. Enter the fax number where you would like the fax sent to into the subject line of the email.


9. Attach the document that you would like to attach to the email using the "attachment" link. You can also copy and paste the information you want to fax into the body of the email.


10. Click on "Send." This will send the email to the email fax service. They will then forward the information that you have sent to them in the form of a fax to the fax number that you provided.
