How to Send a Sonicare Toothbrush for Repair

Electric toothbrushes make dental hygiene easier. Sonicare brand toothbrushes are very popular and come with a two-year limited warranty. Like any electronic device, Sonicare toothbrushes are prone to certain malfunctions. Luckily, problems resulting in mechanical malfunction or poor workmanship are covered under the warranty and can be sent to a repair center to be fixed.

Step 1: Be sure that the problem with your Sonicare toothbrush is caused by a mechanical malfunction or poor workmanship. The warranty will only cover these types of problems. You can determine if it's either problem if the toothbrush does not work even after being charged for several hours.

Step 2: Find your receipt or proof of purchase. You do not need the original package, but the receipt must show that you purchased the toothbrush within the last two years.

Step 3: Call the Sonicare customer service center at 800-682-7664 to start a claim. The customer service representative will explain the return process and provide you with the address where you should send the toothbrush.

Step 4: Place your toothbrush in a small shipping box. These can be purchased from any department store or post office. You may also choose a box from your home that is suitable for shipping. Tape the box shut. Write or type and print out the Sonicare repair center address on a piece of white paper and tape it to the shipping box. You may also want to write your address somewhere on the box.

Step 5: Take the boxed Sonicare toothbrush to your local post office or shipping service and pay the applicable fees to have it sent to the repair center.

Step 6: Wait for your repaired toothbrush to be sent back to you. This could take six to eight weeks depending on the problem.
