How to Set Up a Fax Machine
A fax machine is a machine that is used to copy a piece of paper and send the exact replica of it to another location. That being said, it is easy to see why there are fax machines in almost every school, denstist office, doctors office or any other important office where the demand of a quick copy is in need.
- Look at the fax machine and get comfortable with all of the buttons and cords.
- Open the front cover that is located next to the buttons on the fax machine. This is where the ink should be installed. Installing the ink is the first step to set up a fax machine. After the ink has been installed, close the front cover.
- Attach the paper tray to the top of the fax machine. This is where the paper will sit when being sent and being received.
- Plug in the power chord. One end will plug into the fax machine and the other end will plug into the power outlet.
- Plug in the two-phone jack chord.
- Plug in the phone jack to the closest phone jack and then plug it into the fax machine.
- Place the paper in the paper tray and turn on the fax machine. It is wise to send out a few test faxes, that way it is obvious that it works. If there is not a test done nobody will ever know if the fax machine is working properly or not and the important papers that should be received and sent will not be going through on either end.
