How to Sign Up for GED Programs

The GED test is the high school equivalency test that allows students who pass the test to obtain a GED certificate in replacement of a high school diploma. In order to prepare for the GED test, it is a good idea to sign up for a GED program that will ensure that all of the required material is covered before taking the test.

1. Perform an Internet search using the keywords "online GED classes." This search should provide you with a variety of links for websites that offer GED courses on the Internet to help prepare for the GED test.


2. Browse through the search results and choose a website that you would like to register for online GED classes.


3. Create an online account by clicking on "Register."


4. Fill in all required information such as name, email address, and billing information for the credit card you will be using to pay for the GED classes if there is a charge.


5. Make note of the start date you are provided with for the beginning of the GED classes.


6. Participate in the courses on the start date that you are provided with. Complete all assignments given to you in a timely manner.


7. Ask the instructor of the course any questions that you may have on the material covered within the courses to help you prepare for the GED test. 


8. Register to take the GED once you have completed the online GED program and are feel prepared.


9. Take the GED test on the scheduled time and date that has been assigned to you. Make sure that you get a good night’s rest and have eaten a good breakfast so that you can be focused and ready to take the test.
