How to Slow Dance
Slow dances are bound to come on whenever you are at a social gathering. If you don't want to find yourself sitting in a corner throughout the song, you will need to learn how to slow dance. Fortunately, this really isn't all that difficult to learn how to do.
Whenever a slow song comes on and you want to have a little fun, you will need to know how to slow dance. In order to learn how to slow dance you simply need to follow these steps:
1. Walk up to another person and ask if they would like to dance. All you need to say is, “Would you like to dance?”
2. Take your partner over to the dance floor. This can be done arm in arm or by simply walking to the dance floor together.
3. Get into the traditional slow dance position. To do this, face your partner. Women, place your arms on your partner’s shoulders. Men, place your hands on your partner’s hips.
4. Begin swaying back and forth to the music. Men are the ones in the lead here.
5. At the end of the song, make sure to thank your partner for having danced with you. Then excuse yourself and return to your friends. If you both had a nice time, then you may want to ask your partner to have a drink with you.
6. Make sure that you practice these moves before you try slow dancing in public so that you don’t embarrass yourself.
