How to Turn an iPad into a Mini Computer

Using a keyboard and a stand for your iPad, you can turn it into a mini computer. This is good if you are someone that uses the iPad more than a computer, or if you travel a lot with your iPad and don’t want to lug around a laptop constantly.

1. Connect a wireless keyboard to your iPad if the iPad has a built-in bluetooth. The bluetooth allows you to use the wireless keyboard about 30 inches from your iPad if need to.


2. Turn on the iPad and the keyboard so that they either sync or connect with each other. If they are not connecting, then tap "Settings" on your iPad and select "General" then Bluetooth so that your keyboard can be connected.


3. Put your iPad in a stand that fits it so that it can sit up and you can view it comfortably. There are many different iPad stands out on the market that can be purchased.


4. Connect the iPad to a projector, computer monitor or television that has a VGA adaptor.


5. Connect speakers and a wireless printer to the iPad to give you a more desktop or laptop look. Using a wireless router ensures that the printer is connected properly to the iPad and you can use an app that is made for this purpose.


6. Unplug the iPad from the accessories that you are using for easier carrying for travel. You can also bring along the accessories to set up your mini computer anywhere that you will need it.
