How to Use Bird Cages as Home Decor

There are many things that you can reuse to decorate your home including a birdcage. Birdcages can be beautiful additions to a room. There is a variety of hanging plants and flowers that you can put into a birdcage and it will act as a flowerpot.  You can also use the birdcage as a table centerpiece.

  • Get a beautiful, clean birdcage. Clean the birdcage using a rag, bleach and water, dry it completely. Paint the birdcage white, black, gold or the color of the room you will be hanging it in. Insert a hanger in the ceiling. It will contain a plant inside the birdcage. Place a chain down a way and then suspend the birdcage on the chain.

  • Position a live tiny potted plant inside the birdcage that has dangling ends. Keep it watered once a week. As it grows it will start to hang out of the cage and look gorgeous. Obtain a birdcage that will hold a hanging silk flower display. You can fill a birdcage up with vines, flowers or any other plant you like. Make sure the color of flowers is the same color of the room. A synthetic Wisteria Bush is a fantastic silk flower display to use in the birdcage. It hangs with dangling stalks. You should want the stems to hang out of the cage.

  • Find a birdcage and fill the bottom of it with crinkly wrapping tissue paper. Use a lovely table centerpiece with candlesticks on both sides of the birdcage. This will make it more beautiful.
