How to Use Digital Photography Backgrounds

Digital photography background can be used to enhance and improve your digital photographs. Before you can use these backgrounds, they must first be downloaded and saved on your computer. You can then use a computer program to edit and crop your photos before you place them on the digital backgrounds.

Step 1: Purchase and download the Photoshop computer program. This program will allow you to edit your photos and use digital backgrounds to enhance them.

Step 2: Use your favorite search engine to find the images you want to use as your digital backgrounds. Download the images onto your computer.

Step 3: Open the Photoshop program by double clicking on the desktop icon that says "Photoshop." Click "File" in the toolbar and select "Open" from the menu. Locate the saved background image you want to use and double click to open it.

Step 4: Click "File" in the toolbar and select "Open" from the menu. Locate the digital photo you want to use with the background and double click to open it.

Step 5: Locate the tool palette on the left-hand side of the screen. Click on the "Pen" tool. Use the tool to trace around the object in the photo you want to place on the background.

Step 6: Locate the path palette on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on the path that is listed there. Click on "Make Selection" on the menu.

Step 7: Click 'Edit" in the toolbar. Click copy and go back to the digital background. Click "Edit" again and click paste. This will place your photo image on the background. Click on the image and hold in the mouse button to drag it to a position on the background.

Step 8: Repeat these steps to add as many objects from the photo onto the digital background. When you are finished, click on "File" in the toolbar and click "Save As" button. Choose a name for the file and close the program.
