How to Use Night Buses in London
London offers a variety of methods of public transportation. Most of these methods stop their services sometime during the evening's hours. If you are out late, and unable to take a train or taxi, you may want to consider taking a night bus. Night buses run all night and can easily take you to your destination.
Step 1: Locate the bus you want to ride. You can tell if a bus is a night bus by checking to see if it has an "N" in front of the bus number. You can find this information on the side or front of the bus or on the side of the bus stop shelters.
Step 2: Read the information on bus signs or shelters to see the times the bus runs. You will need to know the times the bus runs so you know what shelter or bus stop to be at to catch the right bus on time.
Step 3: Bring the appropriate amount of money with you to the bus stop. If you aren't sure how much the bus fare is, contact the bus company and ask about the fare price. Try to bring exact change if possible. This will make your boarding faster.
Step 4: Arrive at the bus stop and wait for the bus to arrive. Board the bus and pay the fare. Find a seat on the bus and wait until the bus arrives at your stop. Some bus driver may announce when they are near a bus stop, others will not. Pay close to signs and landmarks as you approach each bus stop so you will know when you are at your stop.
