How to Use a Gazelle Freestyle Crosstrainer
Using a Gazelle Freestyle Crosstrainer gains you the benefits of walking and running by sliding its pedals back and forth while you are in the comfort of your home. Your body also has less strain on its joints when you exercise this way. Combined with a healthy diet, fat-loss is easy to achieve.
Three elements of fitness combine in exercise when you use a Gazelle Crosstrainer: cardiovascular, muscular and stretching. This works on all areas of your body while
replacing the need for stairs, exercise bikes, elliptical machines and treadmills.
Basic Glide
- Stand upright, equally balanced on the two pedals.
- Hold the hand grips.
- Bend your knees.
- Push your left foot forward while pulling back on the left hand grip and pushing forward on the right hand grip. Your right foot will glide backwards.
- Repeat the above step, leading with your right foot.
- Continue the movement, alternating the left and right foot being forward.
Other Glides
- Do a wide glide by pushing one pedal forward as far as you can. Allow your rear foot's heel to rise from the pedal.
- Keeping your shoulders over your hips, deeply bend your knees while doing a basic glide. Be careful to not bang your knees with your moving arms.
- Lean forward, extending each arm completely, while doing a basic or wide glide. Keep your back straight.
- Lean backward while doing a basic glide. Keep your back straight while pulling back on the handgrips.
- Put your weight on the balls of your feet, heels up, and do a basic glide.
- Twist your torso to the movement of a wide glide.
