How to Use a Titleist 983K Driver
Any golfer will tell you that the key to a good golf game is a long first drive. Driving the golf ball straight and for a extended distance will keep any golfer's scores low. There is no better driver on the market than the Titleist 983k driver. This golf club is an essential for an avid golfer’s bag.
Things you’ll need:
- Golf balls
- Titleist 983k Driver
- Tees
- A large area of grass
- Push a tee into the ground in front of you. Place the golf ball on top of the tee. Set the driver head on the ground next to the ball. If the tee is the correct height, you should see half of the golf ball above the driver.
- Look out in the distance and choose a location to try and hit the ball to. The idea is to imagine that object as the flag on a golf course. If you happen to be at a driving range, then a marker or flag will be an easy target.
- Place the golf club on the ground with the handle facing the target. The driver head should be by the golf ball. Line up your feet with the club, giving you a better shot at hitting the target. Once your feet are lined up, spread them out to shoulder width and slightly bend your knees. Grip the golf club and bend your arms slightly. Tilt the Titleist 983k club towards the target you are trying to hit.
- Swing the club back until you hands have reached shoulder height. Keeping your head down and feet planted, hit the golf ball. Do not raise your head until you can see the top of the tee. Turn your hips as you finish your swing. As with any new golf club, it will take practice to get use to the feeling of the driver.
