How to Wash Nylon Blouses

Nylon blouses and nylon blends are a very common fabric to see in many women's wardrobe because it is a durable fabric that is easy to care for. Nylon can be used in hosiery and undergarments in addition to blouses. One problem with anything nylon or nylon blends is when you wash it, it takes proper steps to avoid static cling.

  1. Firstly,
your nylon blouses need to be washed separately from your other
laundry. Washing them with other types of materials can cause them
to not last as long. The material is more delicate so you want to
wash your nylon blouses on the delicate cycle on your washing
    machine.

  2. Use
a dye-free liquid laundry soap if at all possible. It is easier on
your delicates and will keep their colors more vibrant. Wash in cold
water and rinse in cold water. Do read the washing label on your
blouse to make sure it does not call for any other special washing
    procedures.

  3. Pour
the fabric softener in at the proper time as this will cut down on
the static that can happen with nylon blouses.

  4. After
the wash cycle has finished, remove the blouses immediately. If you
leave your blouses in the washing machine all day, when you do
remove them, they will be wrinkled. You can use your dryer if you
put it on the lowest heat setting. If the label on the blouse calls
for air-drying, do not put it in the dryer. Sometimes drying
them in a dryer can cause static so keep this in mind.
