How to Wash Windows With Newspaper
Over time windows become layered with grime, dust and other natural elements which causes windows to lose their sparkle, and appear dull and cloudy. One way to save money and polish the windows nicely is by using the old-fashioned newspaper trick, using cleaning solution and wiping with newspaper. The result is clean, streak-free windows.
In order to make windows shine again, you will need the following items: crumpled newspaper and a window cleaner. A few simple steps is all it takes to be done efficiently.
- Gather plenty of newspaper and crumple it up. Make sure you get enough newspaper to have a page for each window pane. Using the same piece too much will cause it to rip and possibly leave small pieces of paper behind.
- Spray the windows down with cleaner. Start at the top so the cleaner will run down to the bottom.
- Using circular motions, wipe down the window from top to bottom. Be sure to get into the corners of the window as well. Wipe the window until the cleaner is dry and you no longer see any dirt or grime.
- Dispose of the used newspapers and enjoy your sparkling clean windows.
The only downside with using newspaper to clean your windows is that the newspaper may transfer ink onto your hands, so make sure to wash your hands!
