How to Wear a Soccer Uniform
If you plan on being part of a soccer team, it is important to know how to properly wear a soccer uniform. Wearing a soccer uniform can make playing soccer more comfortable. It is simple to prepare for a game by putting on your soccer uniform.
1. Purchase an athletic equipment bag to store and transport your soccer gear. Keeping all pieces of your uniform together will help ensure that nothing gets lost. You won't be able to properly wear your uniform if pieces are missing.
2. Place everything you need before a practice or game in a single location. Lay out your uniform on a flat surface to make sure you have everything.
3. Dress yourself by putting on your jersey and shorts. Next, tuck your jersey into your shorts. This is an official rule and must be followed before you will be allowed onto the field. When warming up you will probably want to wear a sweatshirt, sweatpants and sandals. Once you have finished a practice or match, you may get back into your warm-up clothing.
4. Remove any clothing you put on to warm up before going onto the field. Double check that your jersey remains tucked in. If the weather is cold, you may wear a long sleeve shirt under your jersey to keep warm. Long pants are never acceptable on the soccer field, no matter how inclement the weather. If it is hot outside, wearing sweatbands on your head or wrists is permitted.
5. Place your shin guards on your legs and put on your cleats once you are on the field.
