How to Write a Business Curriculum Format for Training
The average curriculum for those who study business consists of accounting and management classes. Other classes that are involved include marketing and economics. When putting together a curriculum, you can opt to use a standard format or create your own.
- Identify your objectives before setting out to develop the curriculum format. By defining what it is that you wish to achieve ahead of time, it makes it easier to plan the format around the goals and objectives.
- Specify what students should gain after having completed the curriculum you developed. This includes everything from ethical responsibility to critical thinking and decision making.
- Put together a presentation that is labelloid in five different columns. Each column should consist of the content area you are focusing on, the number of required credit hours for program completion, the objectives you have set forth for the course, the recommended order of course completion and the costs and tuition associated with taking the course. Make sure that you include all of the necessary details so that students and other involved have minimal questions and develop a clear understanding.
- Publish the plan for all of the students and peers to review. You can opt to make it available on the school’s website, or you can publish it in print form within the school’s catalog. If you prefer, you can publish the format for training in both areas to ensure it gets reviewed by as many people as possible.
- Welcome feedback from your peers and students as you proceed to implement the program. Consider improving the curriculum in the future from the feedback you receive from the plan you developed.
