Ideas for Kids' Dance Activities

Kids love dance parties; however, they love the activities that go along with them even more. Depending on your dance theme, you have many options for fun things to keep kids occupied and happy. From crafts to games, kids will enjoy attending a dance party.

Video Games

Many video games are now interactive and designed for group play. Choose games such as Just Dance, Rock Band and Sing star as an activity for your child’s party. Each game has music and the chance for everyone to get involved. It is also a great way to keep kids energy focused and the party under control.

Dress Up Craft

Kids love to play dress up. Offer temporary tattoos, crafts to make their own crowns, tutus, rocker T-shirts, arm scarves and anything else you can think of. This is a great way to use shirts that no longer fit and up-cycled clothing. If you need more shirts, ask around; most people have a few they are willing to get rid of. For ballet type, items all you need are tulle, flowers, jewels and satin. Ballerinas love it to be pink and to sparkle.

Pictures

Every dance star has the press close behind, create a fun backdrop and take pictures. Let the kids use props and pose for the camera. After the party is over, create a collage of the pictures to send out with thank you cards. Add captions to the pictures to make them even cuter.
