To say that information technology companies have taken the world by storm would be an understatement. There is no other industry moving as fast as IT, with computers, phones and other gadgets pretty much governing everyone's lives. There are several large companies who lead the way in this industry.

IT companies are the fastest growing businesses in the world, according to Fortune Magazine. They were also named as the best companies to work for, giving their employees not only great pay and benefits, but also passing on the prestige of being in a forward moving industry.

Google tops the list and is ranked as the best IT company to work for. Cisco Systems, on the other hand, is in the number six spot of Fortune Magazine's Top 100 list. The company manufactures and markets different system communications technology products, as well as services. The California-based wireless telecommunications company, Qualcomm, is ranked the eighth best.

However, we cannot discuss IT companies without mentioning Apple Computers.  Apple is recognized as the industry pioneer and trailblazer with its innovative and cutting-edge products.  Apple has certainly secured its place in the IT world. The company has been around since 1976, when it was founded by Steve Jobs, who has pushed the envelope of invention and ingenuity as far as it could possibly go. What started with hardcore computers, the Mac, now includes laptops, mobile phones, mp3 players and other tech accessories.  Apple’s most recent innovation is the iPad. The iPad is a touch-screen laptop/computer/planner rolled into one and it has revolutionized the industry and paved the way for similar tablet computers and phones.
