There are many great ideas for the inside of your garage. It should be set up to work for your family’s needs. The whole purpose of a garage is to have a place to put things that you don’t use every day. Set it up to make your life easier.

Sports Equipment storage

Set aside space on a wall near your garage door where you can set up a sports equipment storage area. Putting it near the door makes it easy for everyone to drop their stuff or grab it quickly on the go. Use locker type units that have shelves, hooks, drawers and baskets. Keep a place for shoes, balls and other items. Keeping everything organized and having a place for each person makes life run a bit smoother and keeps your garage a bit cleaner.

Storage cabinets

Using cabinets to store items is a great idea if you want to hide everything. It is nice to be able to close the doors to the cabinet so that everything is hidden away when not in use.

Shop Space

Set up a dedicated area for tools or hobbies. Keep all of these items in drawers and hung on walls. Set up a work bench in the area and add a work stools. By keeping this space set up exclusively for tool and hobbies you will eliminate a mess in other areas of your garage.

Recycling Center

Set up a recycling area in your garage by setting up three bins and labeling them. You should have separate bins for paper, plastic and glass. This makes trips to recycling centers much easier.
