Kids' Dance Party Ideas

Dance parties are quickly becoming a huge hit with young girls. There are a large number of themes to choose from and activities to go with them. Every idea can be changed to fit any girl and her favorite things.

Ballet Party

If your little girl loves everything pink and fluffy, then a ballet party is a great choice. It is all about tulle and twirling at these parties. You can easily make skirts from elastic and tulle, and purchase crowns for each ballerina. Send invitations shaped like ballet shoes, make a fluffy pink punch from 7-Up and sherbet and make tiny sandwiches and other goodies. For a twist on things, make it a Ballerina tea party.

Hip-Hop party

If you have a Wii or other game system, rent a copy of the game Just Dance. Invite guest to your hip-hop party and remind them to wear comfortable clothes. Decorate with fun colors, streamers and confetti; make sure there are plenty of snacks and bottled water on hand. Give out glow bracelets or necklaces as favors. Turn down the lights and turn on the game, Just Dance will run partygoers through a number of dances and songs. This is a great way to deal with the extra energy and have plenty of fun for most of the party.

Rock & Roll Party

If your little girl wants to rock a guitar or beat on the drums, then go neon and spike the hair. Set up Rock Band and let guest take turns competing against each other. Set up a tattoo station where they can come over and choose a temporary tattoo.
