  • If you want to create a modern looking kitchen, consider using stainless steel as a backsplash. If your kitchen appliances are stainless steel it would be a perfect way to complement your appliances. Stainless steel is not only durable, but it is also easy to clean and heat resistant.

  • Tiles are great to use as a backsplash. They are available in a variety of colors, sizes and shapes and you can come up with your own unique design.

  • If you want a colorful kitchen, use colorful tiles and install them in vertical columns. It is recommended that you use the larger tiles so you will have less grouting to do.

  • Install a glass mosaic backsplash if you are wanting to give your kitchen some character. These are pre-mounted on mesh backings, which makes them very easy to install.

  • A copper slate tile backsplash is a great way to bring your kitchen to life. The tile has a rough pitted appearance and can transform the appearance instantly.

  • A travertine backsplash is easy to install. It consists of 6" x 6" travertine tiles connecting to the kitchen counter with an accent strip connected to the top of the tiles.
