List of Toys Found at a Pet Shop
Pet shops carry a variety of toys for dogs, cats and other animals. It is important for owners to browse the toy aisles of pet stores and select a few for their pets. Many animals become bored easily and owners may find their pets are not very well behaved when they have nothing to play with.
Chew Toys
Puppies benefit immensely from chew toys sold in pet stores. They need something to chew on to soothe teething, and most owners prefer them to have soft rubber toys to sink their teeth into rather than furniture, shoes and other items.
Balls
Rubber balls are great dog toys found in pet shops. They provide a great deal of amusement for the dog trying to stop them from rolling around. Dogs also get a lot of exercise chasing after balls that have been thrown by their owners. Balls come in a variety of sizes. Some cats also enjoy playing with small balls that they can roll around with their paws.
Bones
Toy bones make a great toy for dogs for a number of reasons. They help puppies develop strong jaws and teeth. Some bones come with a breath freshener so their mouth smells somewhat pleasant after gnawing on the toy. Even if they do not have this added benefit, chewing on a bone assists with plaque removal. Therefore, dental health is promoted with the use of toy bones.
Scratchers
Cats enjoy scratching soft fabrics. Therefore, many pet shops carry scratchers covered with carpeting or other material. These are a must for most cat owners. If you do not provide a suitable location for your cat to scratch, you may find they are clawing your furniture and other belongings.
Bird Toys
Pet birds also need entertainment from time to time and pet shops carry a variety of toys for these animals. Swings are available to promote physical activity while also being fun for the birds. Chewable toys are also entertaining for many birds, and they are typically made of wood or leather.
