Most Dangerous Weapons

In today's world we hear everyday in the media about death and destruction with news from the war across the seas, to school shootings in communities. With the thought of danger daily to the unexpected terrorist, they all have the same common factor: dangerous weapons. Here are a few of the most dangerous weapons and why the government lists them as so.

Conventional Weapons

Conventional weapons are considered by the government as the most dangerous weapons. Vast quantities of these weapons are often smuggled and sought after by terrorists and insurgents.

Explosive Devices

Explosive devices such as booby traps or homemade bombs triggered by remote, trip wires or other means, which are used to inflict bodily injury or death are extremely dangerous. These devices can be concealed or camouflaged to be unnoticed by the human eye.

Assault Weapons

Assault Weapons are weapons that can be discharged at a high rate of speed with firepower that can be used for hunting, target practices or other recreational sports. Assault weapons are often considered a dangerous weapon when used to kill or injure human beings or used with wrong intentions such as to inflict harm or death.

  • The AK-47 assault rifle was developed during World War II and is favored by soldiers, police and unfortunately, by terrorists. This weapon can automatically provide a tremendous number of medium caliber bullets at short range. It's estimated that over 50 million AK-47s have been produced since their creation, but nobody knows how many people have died by a AK-47.

  • Semi-automatic rifles fire a single bullet when pulling the trigger. It Ejects an empty cartridge as a new cartridge loads into the chamber from the magazine after the shot, allowing the rifle to fire again.
