Natural Cures for Candidiasis from Health Food Stores
Candidiasis is commonly known as thrush. It is a fungal or yeast infection that can manifest in different areas of the body, the most common being the oral cavity, specifically the tongue, esophagus, gastrointestinal tract, urinary bladder and the penis or vagina.
People suffering from candidiasis will often experience mild discomfort in the form of redness and itching. If diagnosed early, most cases of candidiasis are easily and commonly treated. However, if the symptoms are left untreated, the infection can worsen, sometimes becoming very serious or even fatal.
Candidiasis is often treated with oral or topical medicines, but some prefer natural cures. Though these natural or homeopathic treatments have not been proven scientifically, many people have experienced success with these methods. Here are some natural alternatives to treating candidiasis:
Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda: If the yeast infection is in the mouth or tongue, try making a solution of hot water, baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Swish and/or gargle for at least thirty seconds. Repeat three times a day.
Magnesium: Take magnesium as a supplement. This can be found in most grocery stores and certainly all health food or vitamin stores.
Oregano Oil: Oregano oil, taken as a supplement in very small doses, has also helped clear a yeast infection in some people. Oregano oil naturally has strong anti-fungal properties. Place a few drops in water and drink. Too much oregano oil can be harmful to mucous membranes.
Garlic: Garlic is also naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. For the most potency, garlic should be kept raw instead of cooked.
Colloidal Silver: Colloidal silver has been used for many generations to treat infections, especially before antibiotics were developed.
Super greens: Leafy green vegetables such as spinach and kale contain an intense amount of vitamins and nutrients that, among plenty of other health benefits, can also help clear the body of yeast infections.
